Google Will Reveal Android Wear 2.0 in February

Smartwatch that is less reliant to smartphones is the ultimate goal of the newly revamped Android Wear 2.0 which will be released in February 9th. According to CNET, aside from the user interface enhancement, the wearable operating system also offers built-in keyboard and on-watch app store, support for mobile payments thru Android Pay and Google Assistant that was first introduced in Pixel phones.

Moreover, two LG smartwatches will also be launched together with the Android Wear 2.0 and they are the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style that are slated to be released during the Mobile World Congress in late February. Both smartwatches will sport circular OLED displays, 4GB internal storage and connectivity schemes such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth but the Sport version will feature LTE services, heart rate sensor and GPS according to The Verge.

Most specifically, LG Sport offers bigger memory than LG Watch Style with 768 MB of RAM compared to the latter's 512MB of RAM. When it comes to battery life, the Sport variant is also expected to get through the day because it is powered by 430mAh battery, higher than the Style's 240 mAh battery.

Not All Android Watch Will Be Upgraded to Android Wear 2.0

Google has already announced that not all Android-operated watches will get the taste of Android Wear 2.0. As added by CNET, Moto 360 and LG G Watch belongs to the list of those watches alongside other brands from another wearable manufacturing companies.
