By

The "Grimm" Season 6 premiered with the first episode "The Fugitive," showing the Nick-Renard showdown which will last for three more episodes. Moreover, the final season will reveal more of Diana's powers and the mystery behind the mythical stick.

"Grimm" Season 6 Premiere Recap

The "Grimm" Season 6 premiered with the "The Fugitive" where a massive manhunt has been ordered by Portland mayor-elect Renard (Sasha Roiz) for Nick (David Giuntoli) for allegedly killing several police officers. Renard is also devising a new scheme that will put the blame on Nick after he has murdered Black Claw leader Conrad Bonaparte as reported by EW.

The "Grimm" Season 6 also revealed the growing powers of 9-year old Diana (Isley/Arya Nelson), who has controlled Renard into killing Bonaparte (Shaun Toub) after the latter was mean to her mother Adalind (Clair Coffee). Meanwhile Rosalee (Bree Turner) revealed to Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) that she is not yet ready to share the news of her pregnancy as both would-be parents lament over raising a child under the iron rule of Renard.

"Grimm" Season 6 Spoilers

"Grimm" executive producer David Greenwalt in an interview with TV Guide revaled some interesting snippets as to where the "Grimm" Season 6 is headed. Greenwalt revealed that the last season will not only be about the Nick-Renard showdown for that story arc will be featured in the first three episodes.

There is also the possibility of a redemption for Renard, who has now chosen to be an all-out baddie in the "Grimm" Season 6 with an intent to kill Nick. However, the storyline of Renard as a "royal bastard" already predisposes him to seek power at all costs.

The "Grimm" Season 6 will also unravel the Adaling, Eve/Juliette (Elizabeth Tulloch) and Nick love triangle. This is already hinted when Nick's reunion with Adalind led to a kiss, but there might be trouble ahead with Diana if Renard convinces the child that Nick is out to hurt her mother.

Moreover, the mysterious stick found in the Black Forest is a central element in "Grimm" Season 6 as Greenwalt alluded to it as having mythical, Biblical and religious meanings. Previous episodes show the Stick imbued with special powers, able to heal wounds and injuries like the ones suffered by Juliette and Nick.

"Grimm" Season 6 Air Date

The "Grimm" Season 6 will have 13 episodes for its final run with a finale airing in May in which Greenwalt promised a finale that will be the best of all the 5 seasons combined. Meanwhile, the show returns every Friday at 8/7 c on NBC.
