'Pokemon Go' Update: Niantic Releases New Boxes For Second Part Of Holiday Update; Gen 1 Starters Produced! [VIDEO]

Fans of the highly-acclaimed mobile game "Pokemon Go" are definitely in for a treat, despite the holidays being done and over with, as it was recently reported that the second part of the Holiday update for "Pokemon Go" has just rolled out numerous features, such as the new boxes by Niantic. On top of this, fans can also expect some Gen 1 Pokemons being released along with this update, according to sources.

It was previously reported that fans can expect some more updates for "Pokemon Go" in anticipation of the Christmas Holidays, University Herald reported. Moreover, it was stated that sources went on to advice fans that Niantic Labs will be rewarding players double the amount of XP for every Pokemon that gets caught, evolved, or defeating them at the Pokemon Gyms.

Now that the Holidays are done, recent reports have shown that the second part of the Holiday update for "Pokemon Go," has just been released to fans, Gamespot has learned. It was said that Niantic Labs will be releasing the Bronze, Silver, and Gold boxes for the acclaimed mobile game.

These boxes were said to include the following: incense, lure modules, lucky eggs, Poke Balls, and Great Balls. As such, the source pointed out that these will replace the previous freebies that fans received, including Special, Great, and Ultra boxes that were made available during the week of Dec. 25 to 30 last year.

In other news, fans can also expect some Gen 1 Pokemons being released along with the second part of the Holiday update for "Pokemon Go," Forbes reported. It was stated therein that the Gen 1 starters might just be the most important event that the mobile game has ever launched as of date. This is because fans might get the chance to be a step closer to getting their Charizards, Venusaurs, and Blostoise Pokemons.
