'Pokemon Sun and Moon,' 'Final Fantasy XV' Tops Amazon Best Selling Games List; 'CoD' Not On List

By

"Pokemon Sun," "Pokemon Moon," and "Final Fantasy XV" makes it to the top of the Amazon bestselling games list for this year. In another note, fans are shock that "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" didn't make it to the list.

Amazon Best Selling Games

With the Christmas shopping frenzy over, Amazon shared its bestselling products and the top three games are these role playing games, Gamespot reported. Amazon, however, didn't give exact figures and time period for the list, but it is assumed that the information was collected from November to December this year.

There is no question that "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" will make it to the list, especially with its very strong launch. It quickly became Nintendo's fastest-selling game in different countries all over the world. Meanwhile, Square Enix said that it shipped 5 million copies of "Final Fantasy XV" upon launch, making it one of the fastest start for the history of the franchise.

COD: Infinite Warfare Didn't Make it

There is no surprise that "Pokemon Sun/Moon" would be the top selling game for Nintendo 3DS in Amazon's list, while "Final Fantasy XV" is the bestselling game for PlayStation 4. However, the biggest surprise is how "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" was not included in the list, Just Push Start reported. The COD franchise has always been one of the top selling games during Black Friday and Christmas Season sale.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" may have topped the charts for the NPD US sales last November. However, among all of the installments in the franchise, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" struggled the most.

Amazon also shared its bestsellers in other categories. For the bestselling movies list, some of the titles that made it to the top are the "Harry Potter" movies, "Finding Dory," and "The Secret Life of Pets." Amazon's own products were also among the sites top sellers, including its Echo, Fire tablet, Fire TV Stick, and Echo Dot.
