Tips and Tricks to Fast Track your Career

By

You may be smart and driven and feel ready to take on the professional world, but you need some guidance and a plan in order to get ahead and achieve what you want to achieve. If you are serious about fast tracking your career, here are some tips shared by a 25 year old CEO Brian Wong and start-up co-founder of mobile advertising app Kiip.

Use a notebook to jot down notes

Wong carries a notebook with him everywhere he goes and jotting down his ideas makes it easier for him to organize his thoughts. It can also help him remember the instructions his boss gives him and that should also work the same way for you. According to Wong, this is one of the things that sets him apart from the other employees.

Focus on your own career

The happiest people are those who do not compare their lives with others, said Wong. Being focused on your goals alone and not everyone else's is one of your keys to be able to get ahead of others.

Pay attention to the visuals too

The presentation says a lot about you whether it be on the email, your messages, these things can make or break your manager's impression of you.

Know your passion

When you know what you want to do and you know that you can do it very well, you can capitalize on that. Each and every person is really good something that not everyone else can do better. Use that something. Or if you haven't figured that one out yet, brainstorm or you can ask your friends or family about what they think.

Take time to recharge

You still have to find time to recharge in the middle of your busy schedule, all successful people do. It gives you a chance to break free from the stress from your workplace and it can get you rejuvenated and re-energized so you feel renewed when you go back to work.
