‘Surf World Series’ Game Release Date, News: ‘Surf World Series’ Brings The Thrill To PS4, Xbox One PC And Steam [VIDEO]

"Surf World Series" video game promises the thrill of a solid arcade-style surfing on monster waves at five legendary surfing destinations such as Portugal and Hawaii. The players of the video game will learn an array of surf tricks and can put those tricks to use via a 45 single player challenges.

The online play will be against up to 15 other surfers. Ranking up in the game will unlock customization options that will let a player stamp their own style on becoming a Surfer Legend.

CEO of Climax Studios, Simon Gardner, stated that as surfing is one of the world's iconic extreme sports that's been pretty underrepresented for some time, they wanted to bring surfing fans an arcade-style "Surf World Series" that's all about mastering the waves and achieve huge high scores. Gardner also said that the game is a celebration of those moments when wave and board work together in perfect harmony, PC Gamer reported.

Climax Studios producer Jamie Fisher stated that as game developers, their goal is to capture the vibes that make surfing world what it is. They amped up the intensity with stunning backdrops, simple arcade gameplay and powerful oceans.

Fisher also said that the video game is easy to get into. Nevertheless, pulling off epic stunts and new tricks makes the "Surf World Series" game deceptively difficult to master, according to PlayStation Blog.

The official website of "Surf World Series" claimed that a player can perform some of surfing's most intense and original tricks against a backdrop of stunning horizons and surging waves. The game has millions of ways to create a player's own unique style. The "Surf World Series" website also indicates that the game will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PC And Steam.

"Surf World Series" is slated to roll out in 2017.
