The "Darksiders 3" may finally be in the works as THQ Nordic director confirms two mystery projects that may finally complete the long-anticipated "Darksiders" four-part saga. Moreover, "Darksiders 3" release may follow "Darksiders Warmastered Edition" debuting in consoles like the Nintendo Switch and even the challenging Wii U.

The "Darksiders" has been well-received by gamers because of its engaging storyline, excellent visuals, and interesting gameplay. The game was first introduced in 2010 and it soon got a cult following of "Darksiders" loyal fans.

THQ promised a four-part saga, but only completed "Darksiders 1" and "Darksiders 2," indicating that "Darksiders 3" and "Darksiders 4" will soon follow. Unfortunately, THQ declared bankruptcy before it could fulfill its promise to the fans.

Nordic then came to the rescue buying several IPs of the dismantled company and took on the name of THQ Nordic, Mobile&Apps has learned. It appears that Nordic is deadset on keeping the THQ name and its games, indicating that it might soon work on the release of "Darksiders 3" and "Darksiders 4."

Just recently the company released its first "Darksiders" gamed titled "Darksiders Warmastered Edition" and fans have been giving positive feedbacks on the game. Moreover, Business and Product Development director Reinhard Police recently sat with Nintendo Everything to discuss the mystery projects that the company is working on with rumors that it could be "Darksiders 3."

Police also confirms that a Nintendo Switch and Wii U are still in the works with "Darksiders Warmastered Edition" currently tweaked to enter into consoles.The Wii U is a surprise revelation as many third party developers have abandoned the Wii U project because it is a difficult platform to work on.

Gamers are hoping that the THQ Nordic mystery projects may soon unveil "Darksiders 3," which currently has a December 16, 2016 release. Though the idea of a Christmas 2016 release is now far-fetched, observers believe that the game may soon get a 2017 release date.
