‘Pokémon Go’ Update: Guide To Hatch Gen 2 Pokémon; Catch The Limited Edition Pikachu [Video]

By

Following the recent announcement of baby Pokémon's hatching from eggs, "Pokemon Go" players are looking for egg-hatching details to get the newly released Pokémon' together with the new limited edition Pikachu.

Togepi and Pichu are coming along with other gen 2 Pokémons, but they need to be hatched to get them unlike the other Pokémon characters. This may need a lot of walking this time because in order to hatch eggs, "Pokémon Go" players will have to walk a certain distance. Also, players may need a lot of luck this time to hatch the second generation of Pokemons to add to their collection.

As of now, there are already "Pokemon Go" players who were able to hatch the second-generation favorites like Magby, Iggypuff, Clefa, Elekid and Smoochum. Check also the amount of candy needed for the middle evolution to evolve:

  •  Magby - 25 candy
  •  Togepi - 25 candy
  •  Iggypuff - 25 candy
  •  Clefa - 25 candy
  •  Elekid - 25 candy
  •  Smoochum - 50 candy
  •  Pichu - 25 candy
  •  Pikachu - 50 candy to evolve to Raichu

If players want to start catching the second generation Pokemon, they may need to stock up on eggs. Since Niantic has already partnered with Sprint and Starbucks, stocking up may not be a problem. Having more PokéStops around will help players to get higher chances of catching the gen 2 Pokemon monsters on their "Pokemon Go".

With the holiday season just around the corner, Niantic is also giving their "Pokemon Go" players a sweet treat. Starting in Dec. 12 until Dec. 29, players from all around the world will be able to find the limited edition Pikachu wearing a festive hat.
