'Expendables 4' Release Date, News: Sylvester Stallone to Limit Cast Numbers to 9; Most Expensive Series on Production?

By

Sylvester Stallone has hinted some serious actions in the upcoming movie "Expendables 4" but the actor may no longer be part of the movie. Here's why.

"Expendables 4" will be Back to R-Rating?

"Expendables 3" was a mistake, according to Stallone. The PG-13 rating has created negative feedbacks from movie-goers. The attempt to get wider audience seemed to fail and now the producer gears up for more punch in the sequel by making "Expendables4" - an R-Rated movie, Cinemablend reported. It is also expected to have more stellar CGI effects to create dramatic scenes.

"Expendables 4" could have Fewer Actors?

Not only the movie rating that became the problem in "Expendables 3," the overwhelming numbers of cast made the storyline a little bit blurry. Stallone admitted that there wasn't much depth to explore in each character to create an interesting plot.

Hence, he seems to want to right the wrongs in "Expendables 4" by having fewer actors. Among the rumored casts, Jason Statham and Arnold Schwarzenegger are still going to join the movie.

Rumor previously hinted at Filipino boxer, Manny Pacquaio, as part of the team. However, Stallone put the speculation to bed by saying a firm No, MovieWeb reported. Reports have come up with new names of actors including Jack Nicholson, Pierce Brosnan and WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan. The rest of the team might consist of Dolph Lundgren, Wesley Snipes, Jet Li and Mel Gibson.

It is unclear whether Stallone will still be playing a role or he will be replaced by Hogan instead. The rumor circulating through the web has indicated that Stallone might be focusing to another movie and prefer to be 'behind the scene'.

With the high-paid actors in line, "Expendables 4" is likely to become the most-expensive movie in the series.
