"The Vampire Diaries" is back for its final season and now that the series is about to close, what can fans expect? What will happen to the major characters? How will the series end?

US Weekly presented some big spoilers. The first revelation is by Kat Graham (Bonnie) who hinted that someone will die during her interview with the Hollywood Reporter. 

Then there's a hint about Elena's (Nina Dobrev) come back though it remains unclear if she will play a big role this season. Julie Plec and Mark Pedowitz, president of the network, has confirmed they have talked to Nina about her return.  Tyler (Michael Trevino) is to re-appear to confront Damon (Ian Somerhalder), but he is not the only one to return.

There will be new bad guys for the season finale as Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and Damon gave in to the darkness. Popsugar reveals that Bonnie will face the most tragic event of her life in which she will lose her magic and in this season, she has lost two important men in her life.

There will be also be reunions with Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice King) rekindling their romance in the finale. They would finally find happiness in each other's arms.

Most character will remain, as there will also be a new addition to the characters. Alaric will still be part of the show and he will hire a new hot nanny, Seline which will be played by Kristen Gutoskie. Another addition to the cast is Natalie, an Australian actress who will play Cybil. Demetrius Bridges will also take the character of Dorian.

Plec also hinted a June wedding for Caroline and Stefan. But before that, the series will also explore Stefan's past.

Lastly, "The Vampire Diaries" series could end in a flash-forward.
