By

This Chinese smartphone is a successor of Meizu's M3 model. Meizu M5 will be available in five different colors: matte black, mint green, champagne gold, glacier white and sapphire blue. The smartphone's 5.2-inch screen in HD resolution is covered by 2.5D curved glass, Phone Arena reported.

There are two RAM/storage bundles to choose from: the 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and the 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. It has a hybrid SIM slot where the second slot can be used to storage expansion that can support up to 128GB; an octa-core processor and it offers support to VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz0), reported Slashgear.

The chipset is a MediaTek MT6750 with 1.5GHz octa-core 64-bit CPU. To make the device more appealing, especially to young people, Meizu incorporated the FlyMe UI 5.5 to the device which runs Yun OS 5.1.

Meizu M5 has a dual camera. A front camera is a 5-megapixel unit while the rear camera has a 13 megapixel unit with dual LED flash. The camera is featured with phase detection auto-focus.

Other features include a 3070mAh battery which is 10% bigger than the M3; users can play music for 66 hours. The device also features fingerprint sensor located under the home button to which they claim it can read the fingerprint in no more than 0.2 seconds. Now that's fast. Other sensors include infrared, magnetometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and accelerometer. Power and volume buttons of this budget device are located on the right edge of its polycarbonate body.

Will this budget perfect be released internationally? That is to be decided by Meizu. But who knows, if the market demands its international release.
