Android users highly anticipate the newest version of Android operating system, Android 7.0 Nougat update. Here's a list of the smartphones that finally be able to taste the sweet features of Nougat.

Android 7.0 Nougat update for Xiaomi smartphones

A leak on Weibo micro-blogging site suggests a new interface, MIUI 9, which runs Android 7.0 Nougat. It indicates that Xiaomi handsets will get the update soon. It has not been officially confirmed yet but there are reports that suggest Mi 5, Mi Max and Note 4 will be the first in line to receive the update, Mobipicker has learned.

The smartphones expected to receive Android 7.0 Nougat update in 2017 are Redmi Note 3, Pro, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 3 and 3S, Mi Pad 2, Mi Note, Mi Max, Mi 4i and Mi 4c.

Android 7.0 Nougat update for Motorola smartphones

Motorola has been one of the first in line to announce the Nougat updates to its devices, including Moto Z and Droid series. For a full list of Motorola handsets which get the Nougat update, check here.

Android 7.0 Nougat update for Huawei smartphones

Huawei's Mate 9 phablet is said to run Android Nougat out of the box but there has not been any news about which other Huawei phones that will get the update.

Nougat update rolls out to Xperia Z3, Z4 and Z5 series. Other flagships include Xperia XA series and X Performance.

Android 7.0 Nougat update to Nexus smartphones

Google will roll out Android 7.1 Nougat to Nexus 6P and 5X in December. The other devices such as Nexus 6 and 9 will get the update later.

Android 7.0 Nougat update for HTC smartphones

Since early June, HTC has prepared the Android 7.0 Nougat update for One A9 and M9. In a separate announcement, the Taiwan smartphone maker said that it will bring the update to a few of its devices soon. Reports suggest Nougat update to be released after HTC Bolt is launched.

Android 7.0 Nougat update for Samsung

There has not been much news of Samsung except the Galaxy Note 7 recalls and Galaxy S8 leaks. However, many have predicted that Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be the first in line to get the Nougat update, NDTV reported.
