By

It is a week ahead of Pixel and Pixel XL launch but the heavy leaks have already shown us what the Google Nexus Phone 2016 designs look like.

Google Pixel and Pixel XL leaks show the design of both Nexus phones

Previously, a render image of Google Pixel surfaced on the internet and this week, it is the Pixel XL turns to make a 'debut' ahead of its official launch, as posted by VentureBeat.

The leak only shows a press image of what's believed to be the Pixel XL - a larger variant of the Google Pixel phones. What's interesting about the image is the clear view of its navigation icons.

It is obviously different from the usual navigation with its white border on top of black background - as seen in an image published by Android Police. The rounded icons and new launcher are some of the changes to be seen and it could be Google's effort in trying to give Android a refresh for the new phones.

Google Pixel and Pixel XL specifications: What to expect in the next Nexus Phone 2016?

Investigating the rants and previous leaks, it can be argued that the Google Pixel will sport 5 inch screen and 2,770 mAh battery. It will be equipped with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The optics department will get 12 MP and 8 MP cameras. The fans should expect fingerprint scanner, USB type C port and a headphone jack on the Nexus phones.

As for the larger variant of Google Pixel - the Pixel XL - it will sport 5.5 inch screen with larger battery, 3,450 mAh. These specifications, however, have sparked debates among the high-tech crowd since the speculated price of Pixel XL is $649. It is considered an expensive pricetag for some people judging from the specs that Google offers in the larger Pixel phone, University Herald reported.

Google Pixel and Pixel XL release date

It is no longer secret that Google 'Nexus' phones will be launched on October 4 alongside the new Andromeda OS, a merge of Chrome and Android - that will run under the hood of Pixel 3 laptop.
