‘Pokemon GO’ Updates: Niantic Expansion to Asian Territories – China and South Korea; Coming Soon Means Before 2016 Ends?

"Pokemon GO" has become the most popular augmented reality game in 2016 since its official launching in July in most of the countries around the world. Two Asian territories such as China and South Korea were left behind due to issues related to Google Maps. Did Niantic CEO hinted about the expansion of the game two China and South Korea when he said "coming soon"?

Tsunekazu Ishihara, Niantic CEO revealed the future plan of the company when it comes to expanding the game to two key Asian countries like China and South Korea according to Venture Beat. Millions of smartphone users in the two countries are spotted as potential players of the top grossing however issues on Google Maps hinder the plans. Thus, Niantic is thinking about bringing a non GPS-dependent game though it would be difficult on their part.

Furthermore, Ishihara noted that "Pokemon GO" has received a handful of updates lately through added features such as Buddy System and the latest wearable "Pokemon GO Plus" device that leverage the convenience of the gameplay. With this he said that launching of the game in China and South Korea will be one at a time if ever so that the payers will not be overwhelmed with the current features of the game.

On the other hand, Ishihara hinted about another feature that almost every players wish - battle system which allows the players to battle against each other. He said that there is so much in the plate of Niantic for the years to come and include the player-to-player battle in Pokemon GO according to Android Headlines.

Niantic CEO has revealed so much about their plans for "Pokemon GO" in the future. However, the most awaited one is the launching of the game in China and South Korea which Ishihara said "coming soon". Does that mean before the end of 2016?
