Galaxy Tab S3 Release Date, Rumor: Will Samsung Flagship with These Specs Beat Google Nexus Phone 2016?

By

Samsung is expected to reveal two devices for Galaxy Tab S3 series. Will they be able to win over the upcoming Nexus Phones 2016?

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 possible specs

Judging from the previous leaks, Galaxy Tab S3 is said to sport AMOLED screen and Snapdragon 625 chipset, Trusted Review reported. This configuration gets octa-core CPU and power-efficient performance.

On the other hand, Google Nexus Phone 2016 is said to sport Snapdragon 821 with quad core CPU and 4K display. KnowYourMobile claimed that the chipset architecture delivers 10 percent higher performance than the 820 version. However, the 821 only has less CPU thread with its quad-core and the 625 has a considerably faster clock speed.

It is reported that there will be two variants of Galaxy Tab S3: the 8-inch and 9.7 inch display. Samsung equips the device with 4GB RAM and two internal storage variants: 64 GB and 32 GB.

Galaxy Tab S3 is rumored to run Android Marshmallow while the Google Nexus 7 will get Android Nougat out of the box. Many rants circulating through the web speculate that Tab S3 will also sport 5,780 mAh battery - bigger than Nexus 7 with 5,100 mAh. Both will possibly have USB type C port.

The optics for Galaxy Tab S3 could sport 8MP and 2MP cameras, BGR reported. On the other hand, Nexus Phone 2016 leaks seem to hint on better camera duty with 12MP and 8MP cameras.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 price and release date

As for the pricepoint, Samsung is likely to sell Galaxy Tab S3 from $420 whilst Google might sell its Nexus handset at $499 price point. The Samsung's device was absent in IFA 2016 and there is no word about its launch. It can be argued that Samsung might unveil the tablet in 2017.
