Google Nexus 2016 Release Date Cancelled; Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Will Likely Get Android 7.1 Nougat?

By

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was well-received by the netizens for the newest device's features. Following the confirmation of Samsung Electronics regarding the Android 7.0 Nougat, there are rumors that instead of Android 7.0, the newest mobile flagship will likely get the first ever MR of Nougat the Android .1 instead of the upcoming Google Nexus Marlin and Sailfish. Is this an indication that while Android is getting better, Nexus is getting worse?

Google Nexus has been criticized by the tech savvies as lack of innovation and total mismatched with Android Beta Programs. According to Gadgets 360, Google is getting better in delivering an outstanding output in their mobile operating system but failed in the aspects of the rolled out flagship phones.

The detrimental performance of the mobile flagship can be traced back from its Galaxy Nexus up to Nexus 5X - which the device was used to deliver a cutting edge hardware technology at an affordable price together with the first OS updates. However, the upcoming launching of Nexus Marlin and Sailfish which are supposed to have the first MR of Android N is rumored to have been cancelled.

On the other hand, while sales on Nexus mobiles are declining, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 continues to be the top choice in the mobile market. Following the statement of confirmation from Samsung Electronics through Business Chief Dong-jin Koh, Android 7.0 Nougat is expected to arrive in two to three months from its launching. Having Android 7.1 Nougat is not impossible to happen since Koh added that they aim to provide a stable and seamless platform for users.

Though the rumored cancellation of Sailfish and Marlin launching date is not yet confirmed by Google, netizens are excited not with the flagship mobile devices but what the Android 7.1 Nougat has to offer. Is the decline in the market will be the end for Nexus? Or Google will continue to pushed through for Nexus and find another manufacturer?
