According to Morning Ledger, the pre-production of "Descendants Of The Sun" Season 2 will still commence without the "Song Song" couple due to their commitments with other projects. This is confirmed by KBS head of drama, Jung Sung.

The "Descendants Of The Sun" Season 1 lead star Ho He Kyo is scheduled to produce a new K-drama with Lee Min Ho. Joong Ki, on the other hand, is committed to his movie Battleship Island.

Many viewers wanted to see the "Descendants Of The Sun" Season 2 second lead couple played by Myeong Joo and Dae Young respectively and this has a big possibility, Movie News Guide reported. Meanwhile, the show's writer Won Seok has been confirmed that she declined to write the storyline for "Descendants Of The Sun" Season 2.

She said in her April 19 interview that she has no plans for "Descendants Of The Sun" Season 2. According to her, she had already told the story she wanted to, hoping that Yoo Si Jin will lead a happy life in the future without encountering any trouble.

The "Descendants Of The Sun" Season 2 has been confirmed to have the new storyline be influenced by the famous American program "Criminal Minds."
