Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Specs: 2K display, Intel Kaby Lake processor

Surface Pro 5 rumored specs include the Intel Kaby Lake, Windows 10, 2K display, improved stylus for better drawing experience and 16 GB of RAM. The Surface Pro 5 pen will receive major upgrade including more elegant design and rechargeable as well. Clearly, Microsoft is heading to where iPad Pro is going with its Apple Pen, CNET has learned. With the upgraded performance, Microsoft is expected to give battery boost on this hybrid laptop.

The Surface Pro 4 was sold at $899 for its entry level variant. The price for Surface Pro 5 might not be increased. Fans should expect a starting price at $999.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date in 2017

The chance to see Microsoft Surface Pro 5 this year is quite thin since the previous Surface Pro was launched in October 2015. There has been rumors swirling around the delayed of Surface Pro 5 parts which causes Microsoft to push back the launch.

For instance, Redstone 2 rumored to be equipped inside the laptop, might arrive sometime next year. And Microsoft is reportedly perfecting Redstone 2 for their new devices coming in 2017. Not to forget, Kitguru said that the Intel Kaby Lake processors coming in 2017. The best bet would be to see Microsoft Surface Pro 5 in 2017 as well.  

The Surface Pro 4 has obtained positive reviews as the device is comparable to iPad Pro, University Herald wrote a review on specs and drawing; and found that it is one of the powerful tablets in the market with more functional options.
