As the second generation of Surface Book, the Surface Book 2 could cost a little more expensive than the older device due to some specs update.

Microsoft Surface Book 2 specs

The new Surface Book 2 will have some major upgrades including the huge storage capacity up to 1 TB. Previous generation only has 512 GB storage on each type. The device will likely to run Core i7 processor and display screen of 13.5 inch size.

Surface Book 2 is said to have Intel Kaby Lake but the processor will be arriving next year. This could also hint on the Surface Book 2 being released in that same year as well.

Surface Book 2 will also be enhanced with Microsoft's developed technology, Pixel Sense, for the touch screen. Another rumor circles around the stylus - Surface Pen which is said to be much better on specs and design. Graphic card will also receive upgrade that Xbox gamers will love to hear, Yibada reported

Microsoft Surface Book 2 release date

Speculations on the release of Surface Book 2 have cycled around its updated OS, Windows 10 dubbed as Redstone. Many of the rumors swirl around the OS upgrade on the new device - bringing many more features to it, Tech Radar reported.

And since Redstone 2 will not be arriving till 2017, this could be a good hint on the delayed of Surface Book 2 release date. However, fans should be alerted with the fact that some of the Microsoft Surface variants are discounted. This could hint to a launched product happening soon. For instance, Surface Pro 4 (128 GB) is sold at $799 and the 256 GB is sold at $1,049, the BitBag reported.

Do you think Microsoft Surface Book 2 will be released this year or 2017? What about the rumors on major upgrades?
