Peter C Correa is New President of Fortis Institute Erie Campus

Peter C. Correa has been selected the new president of the Fortis Institute Erie campus.

The new leadership job will require him to help students acquire current industry information and skills needed for a successful professional career.

In addition, Correa has to supervise all campus academic and operational functions.

Earlier, he served as president of American InterContinental University, Atlanta, Colorado Technical University, Kansas City, Mo. and as a campus director, dean of instruction and faculty member at CTU campuses in Denver and Sioux Falls, S.D.

Prior to his administrative roles, Correa worked in the U.S. army for three decades. He retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1996.

His stint in the army included  duties as an airborne ranger in defense of the Panama Canal, military assistant to the associate controller of the National Security Agency, and controller and director, U.S. Army Russian Institute in German.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Correa completed his bachelor of Science in engineering and leadership from the U.S. Military Academy and secured a master's degree in financial management from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California.

"Peter is a highly motivated individual of strong character with significant expertise in learning, an impressive work ethic, and exceptional leadership skills," Fortis President and CEO Duncan Anderson told Career College Central. "He is extremely qualified to lead the ongoing growth of our Erie campus."
