Ohio State has won four games in a row since losing their only game of the season to Louisville on Dec. 2. Saturday's matchup is just the second time they will have met a ranked opponent in the young season.

On the other hand, North Carolina is trying to win its third game against a ranked opponent, after beating UCLA and Florida earlier this season in consecutive weeks.

Both teams are strong offensively and are averaging at least 80 points per game, but Ohio State is shooting an excellent .537 field goal percentage collectively while averaging about 17 assists per contest. North Carolina has a similar assist rate, but they are a much stronger rebounding team, averaging more than 60 per game.

According to the Buckeyes' team website, North Carolina controls the all-time head-to-head series 10-2, including five straight. The last time Ohio State beat North Carolina was the 1992 NCAA Midwest Regionals.

But the ties between these two programs also extend to the family of Ohio State senior guard Shannon Scott, whose father Charlie was a Tar Heel from 1967 to 1970.

The CBS Sports Classic is scheduled for two more years and will be played in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 2015 and Las Vegas in 2016. Following the game will be the second matchup between Kentucky and UCLA at 3:30 p.m. ET.
